Information Literacy (2/4)

Here's today's agenda (please copy it into your planner):

1) WARM UP: Spontaneous Question (work w/ a neighbor)
-Five pieces of coal, a carrot and a scarf are lying on a hill near a remote house. Nobody put them on the lawn but there is a perfectly logical reason why they should be there. What is it?

2) Intro to VOICETHREAD PROJECT

3) Voicethread introductory video

4) READ: voicethread introduction
-read overview; 5 ways to comment; Images, docs, and videos
-use C-notes to write down the main ideas

6) My example of a voicethread

7) CREATE YOUR ROUGH DRAFT
-look at my rough draft (on the back of your C-notes)
-pick an internet tool from your blogging assignment
-must be 8 slides!
-ask for help if you need it

8) GRADE YOUR NEIGHBORS
-everyone stand up and move to your right
-use the rubric to grade your neighbor's rough draft
-look specifically at the "content" part of the rubric
-How can they improve???

9)LEARNING LOG
-On the space at the bottom of your C-notes, answer this question:
Imagine yourself as a teacher, how would a voicethread presentation improve the learning of your students?

OBJECTIVE: SWBAT creatively present their internet tools by developing a rough draft voicethread.com presentation AAPOAL.
